Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") applies to information (hereinafter referred to as the "Information") that the person responsible for the organizational and technical management of the "Scale" online map maker (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Administration") may obtain about a visitor or user (hereinafter referred to as the "User") when the User visits and/or uses the informational website available at https://scale.earth/ and the web application available at https://app.scale.earth/ (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Service").

By using the Service, including viewing or reading information and submitting or uploading user information, the User agrees to the terms of this Policy. The Service Administration does not collect, process, or store the User's personal data.

When the Service is used, the following anonymized technical data is automatically collected through Cookies:

  • the type of action performed within the Service, including clicks, cursor hovering, and other actions
  • the date and time when the action was performed
  • the URL of the page
  • the referring URL
  • the IP address, without the ability to access or use IP addresses in statistics
  • the User-Agent
  • the ClientID, which is a browser identifier contained in a Cookie file
  • the screen resolution
  • the class of the HTML element that was clicked
  • information about forms completed within the Service, including errors made while completing them

Cookies are text files containing fragments of technical information that are stored in the browsers of website visitors. Cookies are necessary for the proper operation of the Service and for providing access to its full functionality. The Service Administration does not require the User's mandatory consent to place Cookies on the User's device when the Service is used.

The User independently manages Cookies, including by changing the browser settings. Changes to the User's settings that result in Cookies being blocked or disabled, either completely or partially, may make certain sections and/or components of the Service unavailable or may make it entirely impossible to use the Service's functionality.

The User may also delete stored Cookies through the browser's system settings.

The Service Administration does not engage in the targeted processing of Cookies.

Since the Service Administration does not collect Users' personal data, Cookies cannot be used to identify Users.

The User agrees to comply with the legal documents governing the use of the Service, including this Policy and the User Agreement.

The Service Administration may amend or supplement this Policy at any time when necessary, including in connection with amendments to the applicable legislation of the Russian Federation, without separately notifying the User.

A revised version of the Policy shall take effect from the moment it is published within the Service.

The User may review the current version of the Policy at any time on the informational website or in the web application. By continuing to use the Service after changes have been made, the User agrees to the revised version of the Policy.
